Message Hey guys. I never sell anything on this board...I rarely use Classifieds for anything. Especially after the last 5 times I bought parts from there, I was screwed over (NOT the forum's fault, but the fault of shipping agencies and idiot sellers).

Anyway, I sold my pulley to someone in Toronto for $75 shipped. Turns out it was like $50 to FedEx this thing to Canada and I only trust FedEx (moreso than the others). Anyway, I wasn't going to pay $50, so UPS will do it for $20. I sent it off. UPS instructed me that I could put Unsolicited gift on the package to avoid some taxes/tarriffs/etc on it. They also said I had to put a value even if I lied otherwise it'd be opened at customs. I put $50 on it for the hell of it and sent it off. Now the buyer is in an UPROAR that he's going to be hit with major taxes and such and will have to pay $140 or some sick number for this part.

What the hell did I just do? Why is Canada that screwed up? I swear to god, I'm never going to sell another thing to anyone in Canada (if at all). I sent software to Ontario and it was SIMPLE...what the hell. Anyone know if a package can be STOPPED in midshipment? I have already told the buyer to REFUSE the package and that I'll eat the shipping cost. This is rediculous. Someone explain!
